The National Talent Fairs programme is a series of career events organized by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Human Resources Office. In 2019, it was organized for the first time in cooperation with universities, public and private sector institutions and trade associations.
The ultimate goal of the National Talent Fairs programme is to make all young people feel that they are talented regardless of which university they graduated from. The other objectives of these events are as follows:
- Providing equal employment opportunities for university students in different regions of the country;
- Promoting students’ relations with employers by activating career centers in the universities;
- Increasing skilled workers’ awareness of public institutions, improving brand value of corporations, and employing qualified students and graduates in public institutions;
- Expanding the awareness about human resources and talent acquisition processes while developing the capacity of the SMEs, which comprise a large share of employment across the country.
In its first year, the National Talent Fairs programme brought more than 70,000 young talents together with 1,315 employers, including 351 public institutions, in 8 cities from different regions with the cooperation of 87 universities.
