Salim Atay, President of the Human Resources Office of the Presidency said, "As a country with 206 universities and 7.5 million university students, we now have to produce talent. Our institutions, the real sector and the public have to do this. They have to accept you for internships when you are a student. Students cannot look for a job in their senior year.”

In his speech at the opening of the "Silk Road Career Fair" hosted by Gaziantep University (GAUN) in the Mavera Congress and Cultural Center under the auspices of the Presidency, Atay said that they have held 7 of the career fairs.

Reiterating that their motto is "Talent everywhere," Atay stated that, "It does not mean that only the graduates of universities in a few major cities are the most talented graduates. Who can say that people who go to a university apart from those are less talented because they left two questions missing? Can those 2-3 questions be the fate of a human? Life brings a new opportunity every day, as well as a new threat. My friend here is talented, just like my friend in Kars and my friend in Istanbul. It is our duty to be at an equal distance to everyone, to be transparent to everyone and to provide equal opportunities for all. "

Atay reminded that 70 public institutions were represented in the fair and said:

"You will sit down and talk to the experts at the booths. You will look for answers to the questions related to your own career. Nothing is clear in life. It is not only in your mind that certain things are unclear. Such things happen in every period of life. Some of you experience it in the senior year, while some do it in their first year. However, career is not a subject that can be easily identified and easily overcome. It is one of the most important issues in life. If something occupies such an important place in our lives, it is not easy to make a decision about it. Notice that if you decide very easily, there is a problem with it. Maybe you are missing some important opportunities. Therefore, do not be hesitant to visit the stands here and meet the experts. Maybe they have opportunities you do not know about."

“Students cannot look for a job in their senior year.”

Expressing that the organization is highly effective, Atay said that 30 events will be held at the fair which will last for two days and suggested that the students follow the events.

Atay said that "As a country with 206 universities and 7.5 million university students, we now have to produce talent. Our institutions, the real sector and the public have to do this. They have to accept you for internships when you are a student. Students cannot look for a job in their senior year. There is no such practice in developed economies around the world. When you reach the senior year, it becomes too late. You have to start this at an early age. "

Following the speeches, plaques were given to university rectors and company owners in the region that contributed to the fair.

After the ceremony, Atay and Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül, GAUN Rector. Prof. Dr. Ali Gür, Gaziantep Chief Public Prosecutor Ali Ulvi Yılmaz, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Halil Uysal and the attendants toured the stands and talked to authorities from the participating companies for a while.
