Aiming to cultivate qualified human resources that our country needs, Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office, provides support for the career development of young talents throughout the process starting from high school and extending beyond university graduation with various projects and tools. Among these tools, Career Counselling Information System (DABIS) allows students who will make university and departmental preferences to make data-driven decisions.

Introduced by the Office for the first time in 2020 to the use of psychological counsellors and guidance teachers in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, Career Counselling Information System has been updated this year based on feedback received from relevant experts.

Between August 5-13, 2021, Career Counselling Information System, which can be used by psychological counsellors and guidance counsellors who carry out career counselling activities for young people who will make university and department preferences according to Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) results, will make a great contribution to the preference process of hundreds of thousands of our students.

"Your Guide", Career Counselling Information System

With the slogan "Your Guide", Career Counselling Information System offers young people the opportunity to make university preferences based on six indicators, which are determined considering the labour market performance of university graduates.

Indicators such as " duration until first employment", "entry level wage", "qualification mismatch", “employment rate in public sector", “firm size distribution”, and “sectoral distribution” enable our youth to consider the conditions of the business world they will enter after graduation.

Up-to-date Data Support throughout the Year

The system, which will be available for use throughout the year as a resource that psychological counsellors and guidance counsellors can benefit from for vocational guidance and university preference counselling, will also be updated with new data. Career Counselling Information System, which can be used not only during the university preference period but also throughout the year, will be included in the guidance curriculum of high schools as of the next academic year.
