Made available to all public institutions and organizations with the slogan "Learning is Everywhere", Distance Learning Gate continues to grow day by day with the cooperation with institutions that are already equipped with online training platforms. In this context, the first training content has been shared with all civil servants on the platform by the Ministry of National Education.

The trainings titled "School-Based Disaster Management" and "Museum Training", prepared by the General Directorate of Teacher Training and Development, were made accessible to 129 public institutions and organizations registered on Distance Learning Gate. These trainings include essential information and topics that will appeal to employees from all walks of life, as well as serving as reminders for experts in the field. The "School-Based Disaster Management" training consists of 64 modules and lasts for 2 hours and 25 minutes, while the "Museum Training” consists of 25 modules and lasts for 1 hour and 12 minutes.

School-Based Disaster Management Training

This training explains the concepts and types of disasters and emergencies that are crucial for all civil servants to know, both in their work and daily lives. Additionally, it aims to raise awareness among individuals regarding the risks of natural disasters in their region and the importance of preparedness before a disaster occurs. In this context, the training provides information on what should be done before, during, and after a disaster, along with sample video demonstrations. This information includes various aspects of first aid, which can be helpful not only after disasters but also in accidents that may occur in the employees' work and daily lives.

Museum Training

This training primarily touches upon the concepts of museums and cultural heritage, with the goal of acquiring skills in museum training processes. In this context, brief information about the contribution of museums, which are educational tools for all age groups, to education and contextual learning, the importance and function of museum training, and examples of museums from Türkiye and the world are presented. The aim of the “Museum Training” is to raise civil servants’ awareness of the significance of our country's cultural heritage preserved and presented in museums, which is the cradle of civilizations.

Many Institutions are Preparing for Trainings

In addition to the Ministry of National Education, cooperation with other ministries and institutions that conduct training activities remotely on Distance Learning Gate is also ongoing. Along with the training activities prepared by Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office, the sharing of training activities prepared by other public institutions on Distance Learning Gate is planned to eliminate redundant trainings in the public sector and make all institutions accessible through the same platform. Thus, it is aimed to achieve significant savings in training costs, which is an important expenditure item of public institutions, and to increase the efficiency of civil servants.
