Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office supports the university career centers through distance learning during the process of Covid-19 measures, which is challenging and needs to be well-managed, both for students who will graduate from the university this year and who will start an internship and for companies that want to bring newly graduated talents to their companies.

In this context, distance learning was provided to the university career centers in Türkiye and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus regarding the introduction of “Talent Gate” platform, which was implemented by Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office to support the qualified employment of university students and graduates. The distance learning, which was organized to contribute to the efforts for increasing the service range and quality of career centers, was carried out through "Distance Learning Gate" platform developed by Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office and offered to all public institutions a while ago.

349 managers and specialists working in the career centers of 192 universities in Türkiye and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participated in the training, which was organized online through Distance Learning Gate platform. Online Talent Gate training was held in four separate sessions over two days. With the training provided, it is aimed that career centers, which have an active role in guiding the Career paths of university students and graduates, will use Talent Gate platform more effectively to expand their services. During the training, comprehensive information about student/graduates, employer, and university profiles of “Talent Gate” platform and the use of these profiles were given to career center employees. Students and graduates will be able to take their first steps in their careers with job/internship opportunities announced by hundreds of different employers through the profiles they create at Talent Gate, and they will be able to apply to career fairs and career events that will take place at their universities through the platform. University students and graduates will be able to apply for jobs to thousands of employers' postings and also receive direct counseling from career specialists employed at university career centers with Talent Gate platform.

The establishment and effective working process of career centers in all universities, which have an important role in youth, who are the future of our country, is monitored by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan through Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office. Under this purpose, Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office has been working to establish career centers in universities and to provide efficient services since the day it was founded. In this context, the number of university career centers, which was 53 in September 2018, has reached 191 today.

In addition to distance learning, the "University Career Centers Book" was published by the Presidency of Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office in November 2019 to guide the career centers of our universities. In the book, career services are to be offered to university students; the roles, responsibilities, and contributions of all stakeholders are explained. These services offered by the Presidency of Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office seem to be the strongest candidates to fill the gap needed in university career centers these days, when Covid-19 measures continue all over the world and in our country.

The work of Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office is aimed to raise the qualifications of university career centers that provide career guidance and counseling to our students and graduates and support the employment of young people by accelerating their adaptation to the labor market.
