Within the framework of the collaboration with Anadolu University, a protocol has been signed to provide more than 30,000 educational materials through the #DistanceLearningGate for the use of our civil servants.

Atay, the President of the Human Resources Office: "We are striving to transform our public institutions and organizations into continuous learning organizations."
Regarding the collaboration with Anadolu University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salim Atay, President of Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office, stated, "As the Human Resources Office, we adopt an approach centred on digitalization and develop technology-based projects and tools. We strive to facilitate and promote the transition to the digital age and skill training for both young people and civil servants through various projects. We present these projects we have developed in all areas within our scope of responsibility, for all public institutions through digital tools," and talked about Distance Learning Gate, which has been made available to all public institutions free of charge.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atay stated, "Recognizing the absence of a national learning platform that would address all civil servants in Turkey, we designed and developed Distance Learning Gate before the pandemic with the aim of increasing the inclination of civil servants towards digital platforms and online training. With this platform, we were prepared for the pandemic crisis and reassured the public. The Platform is being used by 3.8 million civil servants from 750 institutions. Since its launch, 6,027 training activities have been carried out. Our ministries can also provide training for their own needs through Distance Learning Gate. While these trainings continue, we have completed the training needs analysis applied to all public institutions."

Referring to another tool offered in the field of distance learning, President Atay said, "For the past two years, we have successfully conducted the Career Planning Course to raise awareness among our students about how to better plan their professional future during their first year of higher education. To make these trainings more efficient, we reach out to our youth through YTNK TV, which broadcasts digitally. In addition to training contents, we provide support through YTNK TV for our youth to develop themselves with different resources such as interviews with professionals and live broadcasts of The Word of Talent." President Atay concluded his words by saying, "I believe that this collaboration will provide a valuable contribution to the development of our civil servants and our goal of increasing efficiency in the public sector. I wish it to be beneficial for all parties involved."

Fuat Erdal, Rector of Anadolu University:  "We have wide range of knowledge and 40 years of experience in open and distance education."

Expressing his views within the scope of the collaboration, Prof. Dr. Fuat Erdal, Rector of Anadolu University, stated, "As you know, training must have functions beyond being a process that only prepares individuals for a profession in the age of knowledge we live in. Training should be able to provide individuals with constantly updated qualified knowledge, prepare them for new production methods, and equip them with the ability to learn on their own. In this regard, the Human Resources Office carries out very important projects in line with the vision and goals of our country by implementing many of the first practices at the point of increasing the qualified human resources power of our country. As Anadolu University, we have a vast amount of knowledge and experience, particularly in the field of open and distance education, which is crucial for the development of our qualified human resources. With this experience, we have a wide and qualified diversity of educational materials that we have created in line with international standards. Today, with the collaboration we have signed, we will contribute to the digital platform, Distance Learning Gate, which the Human Resources Office has created for the effective use of public resources and human resources in the public sector under the slogan ‘Learning is Everywhere’. With this fruitful collaboration, I would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salim Atay, President of the Human Resources Office, and wish that our collaboration will be beneficial for the 3.8 million civil servants."
